Here
are a few tips
when cooking Bassili’s
Best Lasagna.
- Please read all the
cooking instructions first to determine which cooking method is best
for you.
- Keep in mind that appliances
come in different makes and models, and as a result cooking times
can vary. Consider as well that your
lasagna may be at -20º, -10º, 0º or possibly room
temperature when it goes into the appliance. Therefore, it is always
best to check
on your lasagna as it is cooking.
- For food safety and
quality, your lasagna should be heated thoroughly to at least 72ºC (160ºF).
- The Bassili’s
Best Lasagna in the FOIL tray is easy to BBQ. Heat it up just as
you would in your oven. Be sure to check
it often,
as BBQ temperatures tend to be more difficult to control.
- Depending on the
portion size of the product, Bassili’s
Best Lasagnas come in FOIL or MICROWAVEABLE trays. The larger
(1.5 kg or
2.27 kg) lasagnas come in foil trays and are best cooked in
an oven. Our smaller portion lasagnas now feature a new MICROWAVEABLE
tray
that allows for quicker cooking time and overall cooking performance.
- Although not recommended,
Bassili’s Best Lasagnas
can be thawed to help speed up the cooking time. The product
should
be thawed
on
the bottom shelf of your refrigerator for 8 to 10 hours.
Once thawed, it should be cooked immediately. It should not be refrozen
after
being thawed.
